Basic Appraisal Procedures Manhattan Jeff Beal 30hr
Basic Appraisal Procedures is part of the residential appraisal series of classes and a prerequisite course for obtaining a license as a  Trainee, Licensed Residential,  Certified Residential or Certified General Appraiser.

This course is designed to meet the 30 hours required by the Appraiser Qualifications Board and the State of New York for Qualifying Education for any class of real estate Appraiser.  Students will need to take and pass this course before they apply for any class of appraisal license.

This basic appraisal course provides an overview of real property valuation procedures, the approaches to value, and residential applications,  This course also explores real property analysis and description, including land and site  description, improvement construction, and property inspection. Finally, the course provides an overview of appraisal reporting, including appraisal reporting forms most commonly used by residential appraisers. Through theory, case studies, and examples, the  course offers practical application of appraisal procedures. A calculator is  recommended.

Class room sessions blend theory and practice to engage students. The concepts are reinforced through classroom discussion, drill problems and periodic diagnostic.   By successfully completing the course and exam, you will have met the states’ education requirements in the content area identified as Basic Appraisal Procedures.

Jeffrey Beal, CSA-G has more than 30 years of experience in multiple phases of the real estate industry and has been a licensed Certified General Appraiser since 1992. He has consulted and testified as an expert in local, state and federal cases in all types of matters related to a wide variety of real property or interests in same were there is an issue of valuation, loss in value or of damages. 

He is a NYS Department of Transportation approved appraiser, as well as being a New York State approved real estate appraisal, real estate instructor and trainee supervisor. He is also certified by the Appraisal Foundation to teach the National Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice nationwide. 

He is an practicing Small Claims Assessment Review Hearing Officer and also on the New York State Court System Part 36 list as an approved appraiser. In addition he is a Regional Advisor to the Department of State.

Jeffrey J. Beal is a a past President and designated member of the Columbia Society of Real Estate Appraisers and holds its CSA-G designation. He is a practicing affiliate member of the Appraisal Institute,a past President of the New York Condemnation Conference and a member of the Real Estate Board of New York.
